LightwaveRF have introduced the new L82 Mini Relay which promises to bring even more flexibility, control and additional smart features to the their range.
The Lightwave Smart Mini Relay is an incredibly versatile device that allows for the remote control of volts free or mains electrical circuits (max 500W load).
As a result, automatic curtain openers, doors, gates and lighting circuits can all be controlled via the Lightwave App.
Each Smart Mini Relay can also be voice controlled using Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
The Smart Mini Relay is very useful way of controlling LED strip lighting. This can act as part of a wider lighting scene in conjuction with Lightwave Smart Sockets and Dimmers which can be triggered by a single button press or the App.
The Smart Mini Relay Relay can also be situated outdoors by utilising the Lightwave LW824 Waterproof Housing. This allows it to control outdoor features such as garden lighting, pond pumps, or automatic gate openers.
Can control volts free circuits or mains power up to 500W
PLEASE NOTE: Apple HomeKit does not support 'Open/Stop/Close'. The L82 can be used as an 'On/Off' device only. The Relay requires the Link Plus to operate.
The Smart Mini Relay can be used to provide up to 500W of mains powered switching OR separate volts free switching for circuits not requiring additional mains power. The Relay latches between three positions: 0 (no circuit connected), 1 (Circuit 1 connected), 2 (Circuit 2 connected (optional)).
- The new relay is Lightwave’s most versatile device yet, and is an installer’s best friend due to the flexibility of where it can be placed and the wide range of uses both in and out of the home. This includes water features, garage doors and lighting circuits operated wirelessly from a Lightwave Smart Dimmer.
- The little module fits in a standard 35mm back box and measures just 54 mm x 68 mm x 27 mm. It can be added to any electrical circuit up to 500w offering both On/Off and Open/Stop/Close functions.
- That makes it able to control everything from bathroom lights, water pumps and cookers to gates and a great application for this is the signal to drive motorised blinds up and down. It operates ‘volts-free’ giving you on/off control of the device on that circuit without actually controlling the power to the device.
Lightwave also say this is just the first product in an upcoming range of Smart Relays which all connect wirelessly to their Link Plus hub and are compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
